SkilledTradesBC Portal - Register my organization as a new sponsor

Introduction

The SkilledTradesBC Portal provides convenient access to apprenticeship and sponsorship information. Users can edit personal organization details, receive updates, manage requests, and provide feedback—all from any computer or mobile device.

Sponsor play a crucial role in apprenticeships. They provide on-the-job training, report work-based hours, ensure school attendance, and support apprentices’ progress. Sponsors can be employers, labor groups, or non-profits. When a sponsor also employs an apprentice, they become an employer sponsor, facilitating apprenticeship completion.

This guide shows how organizations can register as a new sponsor through the SkilledTradesBC Portal.

Create Your Organizational Account

Go to the SkilledTradesBC Portal login page and click on “Create an Account”. From the options, select “I want to register my organization as a new sponsor”

Fill out all mandatory fields, including:

Email
First Name
Last Name
Gender
Indigenous Identity
Birth Date
Address
Phone Number
Password

Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.

At the end of the form, review the terms and conditions and check the box to accept them. Proceed by clicking “I Agree”.

Complete Your Organizational Profile

Click “Create an Organization” under My Activities.

Fill out all mandatory fields, including:

Organization Name
Address
City
Province
Postal Code
Email Address
Phone Number

Once you have created an organization, SkilledTradesBC will review your submission and a “Pending Review” status will appear under “My Organizations Created”. You will also receive an email informing you that your submission is pending.
